Honey Cinnamon Apple Sauce

Honey Cinnamon Apple Sauce

Simmer peeled and chopped apples with honey, cinnamon, and a splash of water until tender, then mash or blend until smooth for a sweet and wholesome snack or dessert. Ingredients

Ingredients you will need to make honey-cinnamon applesauce:

6 medium-sized apples (such as Gala or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and chopped

1/4 cup (60ml) honey

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup (120ml) water

Instructions:

In a large saucepan, combine the chopped apples, honey, cinnamon, and water.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer the mixture, covered, for 15-20 minutes, or until the apples are soft and tender.

Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.

Using a potato masher or a blender, mash or blend the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.

Taste the applesauce and add more honey or cinnamon, if desired.

Serve the honey-cinnamon applesauce warm or cold as a snack or dessert, or use it as a topping for oatmeal, pancakes, or yogurt.

Enjoy your delicious and wholesome honey-cinnamon applesauce!
